Acceptable Use Policy

English version controls · Effective October 19, 2026 · Incorporated into the Terms of Service by Section 5

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everything you upload ("Input") and everything the Service generates for you ("Output"). It sets out the prohibited content categories, how to report abuse, how we moderate, and what happens when rules are broken.

1. Content standards — prohibited categories

The Service may not be used to upload, create, dub, translate, subtitle or otherwise generate any of the following:

  • 1.1 Sexual / adult content. Pornographic or otherwise sexually explicit material, including dubbing, subtitling or "cleaning" of such material for redistribution.
  • 1.2 Violent or graphic content. Gore or graphic violence presented to glorify, celebrate or incite violence against people or animals, and real-world violent incidents repackaged to promote harm.
  • 1.3 Hate speech. Content that dehumanizes, demonizes, or incites hatred or violence against individuals or groups on the basis of protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.
  • 1.4 Child sexual abuse and exploitation material (CSAM). Zero tolerance. Any content that sexualizes, endangers or exploits minors is prohibited as Input and as Output. If we detect or are credibly notified of CSAM, we remove it, suspend the account, preserve the evidence, and report it to the appropriate authorities, including the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and equivalent bodies in your jurisdiction.
  • 1.5 Deceptive deepfakes and impersonation. Cloning a voice or likeness of a real person without that person's explicit consent; and content engineered to make viewers believe a real person said or endorsed something they never did — fake statements, fraudulent endorsements, fabricated "authentic" recordings, election manipulation. Clearly-labeled parody and licensed dubbing of willing participants are not impersonation.
  • 1.6 Copyright and trademark infringement. Uploading content you do not own or have no right to process; dubbing pirated films or leaked screeners; removing or altering watermarks and attribution; and generating Output designed to infringe trademarks or pass off goods under someone else's brand. Fair-use/fair-dealing judgments are yours to make — with counsel if needed — and we act on valid DMCA notices under Section 13 of the Terms.

You are also responsible for the platform rules where you publish (YouTube, TikTok, Meta and others impose their own AI-content disclosure and reuse policies). Those are between you and the platforms; the categories above are ours.

2. Reporting violations

All abuse reports go to [email protected] with subject starting Report: plus the job ID or URL, the category (1.1–1.6), and any evidence. Copyright claims follow the DMCA process in Section 13 of the Terms. Reports prefixed CSAM: are triaged immediately. We acknowledge valid reports within one business day and complete standard review within five.

3. How we moderate

Voxtakes is a private production workbench, not a public feed: outputs are delivered only to the account that made them, so we do not pre-publish-review every job by hand. What we do run, on every job: per-line machine QC (re-transcription scoring, glossary enforcement, final QC gate), which also flags anomalies; rights and consent are yours to assert at upload; and the retention model (Inputs/Outputs auto-delete after 7 days) limits blast radius. Human review is triggered by reports, machine flags, abuse scans on suspicious patterns, and valid legal requests — and we act on what we become aware of.

4. Consequences of violations

  • Content: we may refuse, interrupt, delete or block processing of content that we reasonably believe violates this AUP.
  • Account: graduated response — warning, job freeze, suspension, then termination for repeat or severe violations. Accounts linked to a terminated violator may also be closed.
  • Credits: credits paid for and consumed by violating processing are not refundable (Section 12 of the Terms); refunds to victims of impersonation take priority over the violator's balance.
  • Legal: CSAM, fraud and imminent-harm cases are reported to law enforcement; we cooperate with valid legal process and preserve required records.
  • Appeal: reply to any enforcement notice within 14 days and a human reviews the case once, on the evidence.
